Today, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) announced the launch of the second phase of its Environmental Restoration of the Aral Sea (ERAS II) activity. USAID will spend approximately $1.6 million to counter the adverse effects of desertification in the Aral Sea region by improving air quality and living conditions and by strengthening climate change resilience.
On November 7, 2022, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Agency for International Development and the U.S. Department of State, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation in the fields of health and medical sciences between the United States Government and the Government of Turkmenistan.
With funding from USAID, Kant Sut has implemented state-of-the-art digital solutions designed to make its raw milk supply chain more efficient.
